The many friends of Mrs. John Watson, nee (?) Miss Emma Holmes, were shocked by the announcement telegraphed to her relatives on Sunday, of her sudden death at Minneapolis on Saturday. Her father, Mr. C.C. Holmes left for Minneapolis yesterday morning and returned with the remains today. They will receive burial in the Sauk Rapids Cemetery. Deceased was well known in this community, where she resided with her parents and relatives since her childhood, and was beloved and esteemed by all who knew her. The announcement of her death elicited from our citizens expressions of sincere sorrow and heartfelt regret.
